These three grades of folding knives represent the best in materials used and each one is a work of the knife makers
art.
The field grade has either a carbon steel blade or a blade made from ATS.34 stainless steel.
The liners/bolster is machined from one piece of either 416 stainless or from carbon blade steel. The scales on the field
grade are made from either a high quality dyed jig bone or from a tropical wood that resists water.
The Master Grade and the Exhibition Grade are typically made from damascus steel and utilize
very high grade wood or other rare handle material such as Mastadon Ivory. The Exhibition Grade usually has silver wire
inlay in very good quality Fiddle back maple or other woods that inlay and will have mother of pearl or some other material
also inlaid into the handle. The Exhibtion Grades also have Gem stones set into the thumb studs. These
lock backs are available in two sizes, the large has a blade length of 3 and 3/4 inches and the medium size which is approximately
20% smaller. All Carbon steel blades are forged to shape but as I don't feel that forging stainless steel improves a stainless
blade ,stainless blades are done by stock removal.
