ever increasing problem and concern for our society. One of the ways we can stop it, is by educating ourselves and our

Helping Children Cope with Teasing and Bullying
This is a story based on true events. The story promotes awareness,
support, understanding, and tolerance of differences. It encourages children to reach out to others. We all can
make a difference! It is for ages 4-9.
About
the author: Dana Smith-Mansell has a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, a Master's Degree in Behavior
Disorders, and has worked in Special Education for 23+ years. She is inspired by the triumphs and challenges of
families and children. Dana gratefully acknowledges and respects what she has learned from the many families and children
who have touched her life. She has had poetry, essays, and illustrations published in print and on the web. Dana
continues to illustrate and write poetry, children's stories, and essays, and is working on an educational title and a self-help
title.
About the illustrator: Suzanne Riggio is an artist and illustrator whose work
can be seen in books, magazines, greeting cards and other mediums. She lives with her husband in Brooklyn, NY.
